OBJECTIVES:
Main objective
To establish farmer field schools, identify and train lead famers on the best practices of farming by en of 2019.
Other objectives
  • To establish a demo site with 45 modern hives and improved 50 log hives by end 2019.
  • To improve farmer field school members hives by introduce queen excluders before the end of 2019.
  • To recruit through demonstration 3000 new beekeepers by end of 2019.
  • To exploit the other bee products such as wax, propolis, bee venom, pollen and royal jelly by end of 2020
  • To lobby and advocate for better funding opportunities to the cooperative and her members through forming strong partnerships with financial institutions, governments both county and national, like minded organizations by end of 2019
  • To establish an innovative model of microeconomic enterprise by the end of 2019.
  • To establish strong market linkages locally and nationally and offer the best prices at the farm gate by end of June 2019.
  • To establish collection centres and collection centre handlers in the selected farmers field schools by the end of 2019
  • To improve on quality of honey handling, processing and packaging to attain the desired quality standards by the end of 2019
  • To complete a better storage facility for the bulky raw materials of honey end of the 2020
  • To plant bee attracting flowers and favourable vegetation in the areas surrounding the established apiaries by end of 2019
